How can I recover from the shame of my wife slapping me in the face at our friends dinner party?

She has never gotten physical before last night, normally she does belittle me, and i was with a bunch of friends i hadn't seen in a long time at a dinner party and i was so anxious to have fun but she being her normal self started mocking me for my eryectial disfunction and i'm only 23 so i mouthed off and said in her ear, "please stop your being a b**ch" which i know was the wrong word to say but i was fed up so she slapped me in front of everyone. now i feel even less of a man
