Is this some kind of abuse?

I don't think her actions constitute abuse necessarily, poor parenting definately. My fear was lightning at night. My mom would call me a baby for being afraid of flashed of light. Then when I was in school the teacher told us that lightening strikes the highest object so if there was a thunderstorm at niight I would go sleep on my parents floor so the lightening would steike her instead.
