Should I switch my Ibanez V8 and V7s?

I own an Ibanez RG2EX1, and I like it, but the pickups sound pretty muddy. Is it worth getting new pickups for it, or should I get a different guitar, like a Schecter Damien Elite Solo. I would appreciate if you told me what kind of pickups as well, so I know what to do.
