Schecter Damien Elite Avenger FR for my first guitar?

I wouldn't typically recommend a guitar with a Floyd Rose bridge as someone's first guitar. Those make tuning a real pain and, as a beginner you should just get something basic and inexpensive like a Squier or Ibanez and learn how to play. But, if you like it and don't mind messin' with the FR, Schecter makes great guitars. I had a C1 for a while and loved it (but I had the stop tailpiece - no tremolo bridge to mess with). Now I own a Parker and will probably never play any other electric guitar again (Parkers are phenomenal). I also happen to own and love acoustic guitars (and classical), but to each his own.
