What is wrong with me?

I see and hear things... I will be normally talking to somebody and then i'll hear laughter. I constantly have to ask people "did you laugh?" and hear them say "um no?" and make a funny face. Then i'll see shadows when I'm trying to sleep. Especially by the doorway. I'll sometimes see weird things like a wall getting bigger than going back to normal over and over in a purpleish outline. Different stuff like that. I have trouble sleeping because I'm paranoid about the shadows. Could anyone help me understand?
