How can i make it cooler in my room?

How can i make it cooler in my room? Its like 100�f here in oklahoma. We have one AC(air conditioner) in the house,its in our living room but its a bedroom AC so it doesnt cool the house so well,and my room is like beyond hot! You like have a heat stroke right when you walk in. Wood floors,and i have blankets over my windows cause i dont have blinds for them. I have a ceiling fan but high,medium,or low still makes my room hotter. My mom said to buy a box fan and put it in the doorway of my room and the hall so it can travel cool air into my room. Did that and it got a little cooler. Any other ways to make it cooler?
