Schecter synyster gates custom?

I really want to get the schecter synyster gates custom and have recently found it for half price in a trustworthy shop. The only thing is my guitar amp (ashton vp30) is only worth �250 but the guitar is worth �1000, so will the guitar sound good? I also have a digitech rp155 multi effects pedal, let me know what you think. Thanks in advance.
