Schecter Blackjack ATX or Les paul studio?

I am going to use the guitar for drop tunings and the les paul studio i wanted was at my guitar shop. It is not chambered has a nice set up, comes with a hardshell case and is $800. The reason i might want the blackjack is because it has the pickups that i would have put in the paul, and it has a nice body shape. However i havent played one and it doesnt come with a case. Please help. Thanks
